Shropshire Children's University: Shropshire CU is a private limited charitable company and was set up in November 2010 to deliver Children's University activity across Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin. Shropshire Children's University and Telford and Wrekin Children's University are part of The National Children’s University Trust network. The aims of Shropshire CU Ltd are: •To promote access for all children within the county to high quality out of school learning •To recognise and value high quality extra curricula activities •To celebrate positive engagement in learning, through certification and graduation •To promote inclusive extra curricula activities focussing on local cultural identities and sense of place •To raise aspiration toward higher education and lifelong learning through the validation and provision of quality out of school hours learning activity •To provide support and guidance to enhance out of school provision through the use of national quality frameworks •To foster and nurture deeper collaboration and networking across learning providers in the county
